Blood Veil and other resuables
Pip Brant, my new favorite artist! She re-uses material and creates pieces with deep cultural meaning. The blood veil represents celestial forms of the feminine and the value of a woman's balanced work/play relationship.
A part of her Artist Statement "My work always contains an element of dark humor no matter what medium I work with."

Johnny Appleseed is Hot
Thanks to the new Michael Pollan book, Botany of Desire, I am in <3 with Johnny Appleseed. The ultimate environmentalist, so ahead of his time. He rambled around spreading appleseeds so all the folks could enjoy sweet apples and what a treat for everyone as this was before saccarine sugar! He slept in tree stumps and was a vegetarian. His selfless acts and guerilla gardening are so sexyyy.
